Google, NSDC launch programme to improve Mobile Developer Ecosystem. The National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and Google India on 8 August 2017 launched Android Skill Development programme to improve Mobile Developer Ecosystem. The programme is aimed at imparting mobile development training on the Android and Web platform and improving the quality of mobile app development ecosystem in India.

 

Indian Railways earned Rs.540 crore through flexi fare scheme. The Indian Railways earned an additional revenue of Rs 540 crore in less than a year through the flexible fare scheme. This scheme launched on 09th September 2016 is applicable in Rajdhani, Shatabdi and Duronto trains.

Government to spend billions on upgrade of tanks, infantry combat vehicles. The projects approved include ammunition for more than 1,500 Russian-origin BMP-2/2K infantry combat vehicles, top-end missiles for 3,000 T-90/T-72 tanks and lakhs of rounds for L-70 air defence guns, officials said. The ministry’s department of defence production (DDP) gave the green light to the programmes on July 10.
